BABY BEAR

Wow this year has flown by. Are you getting ready for Christmas? I feel like I'm not at all organised this year! We made an advent calendar which is full of lovely little gifts - our little bear is so excited to wake up each morning, it's too cute. I need to make my Christmas cake, cookies, and we need to try and find our christmas decorations, which are buried somewhere - we are living between our small apartment and storage (while we look for a house) and I have no idea where they all are!



Are you all organised? Please make me feel better and tell me you're as disorganised as I am :)

PIA WALLEN'S CROSS BLANKET - HOW DO YOU WEAR YOURS?

It's undoubtably one of my stores best sellers. I still love it as much as ever and take pleasure in wrapping every one and sending it to it's new home.  I have a large Cross blanket on my sofa, a mini one in my baby's pram and our cat even has one of our very old ones from years ago. TOGETHER

Motherhood. It's a special, challenging and truly magical time. The hours that I spend with my baby boy are so precious and I really struggle when he's not with me. I enjoy my own time and I have to work, but putting him into day care feels so alien and unnatural to me despite how wonderful the setting. I miss him and feel half of me is missing. But I know he needs it and he thrives there. He loves being with other kids and being out in the nature all day, building sticks and playing with mud. I am always so excited to collect him from day-care and often James and I are racing to get to the door first.  So I have to grin and bear it, I have to know that we are helping him to grow into a confident and sociable little boy. Felix darling, I love you. Thank you for completing my world.

ESCAPE

It's always been in the plan to have a summer/winter cabin (one day). Our everyday life is so crazy and laden with technology that a place where we can just do nothing but be absorbed in nature is frequently called for. Ours will probably be in Iceland, but many Scandinavian destinations inspire me and this place in Norway is no exception. Meditation (something I'm exploring) + nature = A relaxed and happy me.

I love the black bathroom details in this house situated in the outback in Australia.  I can't decide whether I will have black or brass in my next bathroom....



So finally I have had a chance to jump off the hamster wheel and write a post. Seriously, I know we bring it on our selves but after so much travelling (both our families live abroad), I am just so happy to get back into the swing of every day life. I need some routine and normal working days. I also need to get back into the gym(!) In the meantime I am checking off my to-do list - but I swear it grows quicker than it shrinks....

There is something wonderfully calming about this space. The lovely pale colours and natural materials really appeal. Also its in Vancouver - supposedly one of the most beautiful cities in the world to live... I've never been, but it's certainly on my list :)

AT HOME WITH EMMANUEL DE BAYSER

I spotted this stunning apartment over here the other day and simply had to share here.  This amazing place is situated right on the central square in Berlin.  It's 16 foot high ceilings and wonderful details provided a perfect canvas for Emmanuels collection of mid century furniture and beautiful art.  I'm not a carpet kinda gal - but that white carpet in the living space looks so cosy!

SUMMER THINGS

The days are passing so quickly and before we know it, it will be autumn (which I love by-the-way), but I also love the last lazy weeks of summer. So with this in mind I wanted to share the summer to-do list that I've been kind of doing, but not with any focus. So here you go. What are your must-do things for the summer?

1. Swim in the sea

2. BBQ on the beach

3. Eat tacos and drink margaritas while the sun sets

4. Lay on the ground and look at the stars

5. Make ice-cream

6. Picnic in the forest

7. Take a day time nap with the window open and feel the breeze

8. Watch a play in an open air theatre

9. Pick wildflowers and blueberries (Iceland)

10.Walk barefoot through the grass

BKR WATER BOTTLE

Can I be in love with a water bottle? Absolutely.  Using plastic food and drinks containers with regard to our health has been such a hot topic lately. It's something I'm really conscious of and I try to steer clear of plastic as much as possible. I use these for baby bear, which I love, but the BKR Water Bottle is just perfect for me.

APARTMENT IN STOCKHOLM

Wow I love this place, it's very almost perfect. It's inspired me to use some more pastels and less contrast in my new place. Talking of new places, we are house hunting like crazy - nothing seems to fit for us. I guess when we walk in to the right one, we will know. Until then it's back to our old apartment for a few months - with three of us now, plus a cat, it's going to be cosy to say the least :)
